Curriculum Organiser is an exciting, innovative and 'easy to use' approach to curriculum planning and organising. It was developed after extensive advice from teachers across Australia on ways to cope with the demands put upon teachers and schools - and as a result, saves time. Furthermore, it provides the means for improving student learning outcomes.
Curriculum Organiser (CO) is for use by individuals, whether student teachers or practicing teachers, and by schools. CO has over 1000 pages of planning exemplars covering all learning areas and year levels to year 10 and allows for current curriculum planning material to be imported into the 'contents tree'
Curriculum Organiser has sound theoretical underpinnings and makes connections between four layers of curriculmn managment: System, School, Teacher and student layers.
ASSESSMENT AND REPORTING
Schools use many approaches in the day to day process of educating and assessing students, from outcomes and standards based models to alternative assessment such as, performance-based models, portfolios and student-designed assessments.
